Holy Stone FC hit by financial crisis

The financial crisi is knocking at Holy Stone's FC door. The changes that have been implemented by the world football association have resulted in a 50% less daily profit by Holy Stone FC. In an unscheduled press interview, the manager of the team stated:

'Unfortunately, we are obliged to change our financial plan. Those changes found us unprepared and we need to work on how we are going to overcome this. We were thinking that keeping our wages under 100k would be an advantage for us, but apparently this can be an advantage only in the long term and only if the team is performing well.

Therefore, we are planning on investing in the U-21 team sooner than expected. The financial team of the company is having daily extra meetings. We hope that we are going to be back to the high profits as soon as possible'

Nonetheless, the performance of the team has not been affected by this crisis as Holy Stone FC are finding themselves ranked as 143rd best team in the gameworld.

Holy Stone FC striving for promotion

Holy Stone FC find themselves in 7th place of the EEQ 2 league. Top five teams will qualify for next season's Super League. Manager Manos Chalk stated in a press conference:

'Things dont look as good as we expected. We have lost valuable points from teams that are considered to be of less quality. We will continue to work hard and we hope that our efforts will have the result that we all want; to promote.'

Regarding the rumours that Holy Stone FC had offered a 2 year contract to the high profiled Xabi Alonso the manager stated:

'It is true that we offered a contract to Xabi Alonso but apparently it was not enough to steal his signature. We would like to wish all the best in his future plans. At this moment it is very unlikely that the team is going to bid for any players. We will focus on the planning of the next season'
